Description

Etanercept is a therapeutic fusion protein specific for Tumor Necrosis Factor-Alpha (TNF-α) and is used to treat rheumatic arthritis, intestinal disorders, dermatological diseases and cancer. Etanercept specifically binds to TNF alpha and blocks its interaction with cell surface TNF receptors and reduces the inflammation and subsequently improves the patient’s health. However, some patients develop unwanted immunogenicity, which leads to production of anti-drug-antibodies (ADAs) inactivating the therapeutic effects of the treatment and, in rare cases, inducing adverse effects. BioVision’s BioSimTM anti-Etanercept ELISA kit is designed to detect the antibody against Etanercept with high specificity and sensitivity in biological matrices.

Alternate Name: DIF, TNFA, TNFSF2, TNLG1F, TNF-alpha, TNF, TNF-A, Cachectin, Tumor Necrosis Factor, Tumor Necrosis Factor-Alpha, APC1 Protein

Tag Line: A Sandwich ELISA kit for the QUALITATIVE determination of antibody against Etanercept in human serum or plasma.

Summary: • Detection method- Absorbance (450 nm) • Species reactivity- Human • Application- qualitative determination of antibody against Etanercept (Enbrel) in human serum and plasma

Detection Method: Absorbance (450 nm)

Sample Type: Human serum and plasma

Species Reactivity: Human

Applications: This ELISA kit is used for Qualitative determination of antibody against Etanercept in serum and plasma

Features & Benefits: Easy, convenient, sensitive and time-saving method to Qualitatively determine presence of antibody against Etanercept in human serum and plasma. Cross Reactivity: Etanercept infusion camouflages/masks the presence of antibody to Etanercept (ATC) in serum/plasma samples. Therefore, blood sampling time is critical for detection of ATC. It is convenient to obtain blood sample just before the infusion or at least 2 weeks after the infusion of Etanercept.
