Background Information: Fibronectin (rFn) is a high-molecular weight, a glycoprotein of the extracellular matrix. FN binds extracellular matrix components such as collagen, fibrin and heparan sulfate proteoglycans. FN exists as either an insoluble multimeric fibrillar component of extracellular matrix (cellularFN or cFN) or as a soluble monomeric form that is produced by hepatocytes and secreted directly into plasma (plasma FN or pFN).FN plays a major role in cell adhesion, growth, migration, and differentiation, and it is important for processes such as wound healing and embryonic development. BioVision OryzaExp™ Fibronectin was produced in rice endosperm using chemically defined raw materials, the absence of animal-component free allow for cell culture media system to utilize a safer, more defined and consistent raw material.
