Background Information: Contactin-5 (CNTN5) is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily and functions to mediate cell surface interactions during nervous system development. Contactin-5 may play a role in the formation of axon connections in the developign nervous system. Contactin-5 has been implicated in neurite outgrowth-promoting activity in cerebral cortical neurons, as well as neuronal activity in the auditory system.
Amino acid sequence: Glu 19 to Gln 1059 with C-terminal polyhistidine tag
Handling: Centrifuge the vial prior to opening.
