Background Information: Neuroligin 4, Y-linked (NLGN4Y) a type I membrane protein that belongs to the family of neuroligins, which are cell adhesion molecules present at the postsynaptic side of the synapse, and may be essential for the formation of functional synapses. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for NLGN4Y gene. NLGN4Y was expressed in fetal and adult brain, prostate, testis, pancreas. NLGN4Y is homologous with its X-linked homolog, NLGN4X.

Amino acid sequence: AA Gln 44 - Ser 676

Handling: Centrifuge the vial prior to opening.

Usage: For Research Use Only! Not to be used in humans
