Background Information: SARS-CoV-2 Spike protein is a large type I transmembrane protein composed of S1 subunit and S2 subunit. During viral infection, the receptor-binding domain (RBD) of the S1 subunit is responsible for the recognition and binding of host receptor ACE2, while the S2 subunit mediates viral cell membrane fusion. The SARS-CoV-2-S1-RBD/ACE2 interaction mediates viral entry into the target cells. The E484K mutant mildly increase receptor binding.

Amino acid sequence: The target protein SARS-CoV-2 S Protein RBD (E484K) is expressed with His tag at the C-terminus.

Handling: Centrifuge the vial prior to opening.

Usage: For Research Use Only! Not to be used in humans
